Obtaining Authentication Information Based on WebService Application

Introduces how to obtain authentication information based on a WebService application.

Since system version 3.10, the system has supported obtaining authentication information required for API interaction based on the WebService application, a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy element.

Authentication based on WebService applications allows users to break free from the limitations of the Unified Content Web-Service Inspector (UCWI) device location. No matter where the user is, they can use this authentication information to initiate content security review requests to any Unified Content Web-Service Inspector (UCWI) device of the enterprise or organization.

The security administrator needs to access the created WebService application policy element on the Unified Content Secure Server (UCSS) and follow the steps below to obtain the authorization and authentication information required for API calls.

  1. Log in to Unified Content Secure Server (UCSS).
  2. Click DLP Management > Policy Elements > WebService Applications to enter the management page of the WebService application policy element.
  3. Select an existing WebService application and click Edit to enter the application editing page.
Note: If there is no existing WebService application, click the Add button to create a new WebService application. After completing the creation as guided by the page, the system will automatically assign authentication information to it.
  4. Click the grayed-out Authentication Information button in the top right corner, and the system will display the authorization and authentication information required for API calls.
The authentication information incuding Access Key and Access Secret are displayed by the system.
