Configuring DLP Policies

Introduces the steps to configure Data Loss Prevention (DLP) security policies.

Create a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy by following the steps below and add a WebService application as the policy target.

  1. Enter the DLP Management > Policies page.
  2. Click Add to add a new policy.
  3. Enter the policy name and description to indicate that this policy is used for API calls.
  4. Set the policy group to which the policy belongs, with the default setting being Default Policy Group.
  5. Set the policy level, i.e., classify the policy, which can be set to Default Level.
  6. Enable the newly created policy, which is enabled by default.
  7. Specify the type of the newly created policy as a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy.
  8. Click the Content Inspection tab to add matches or exceptions for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rule elements.
  9. Click the Channel tab and check the WebService application in the network inspection channel.
  10. Click the Source/Target tab, select Target in the match area, and set the WebService application as the target of the policy.
    1. Enter the name and description of the target.
    2. Add the target by selecting Add Target and checking WebService Application.
    3. Click +, which will pop up the WebService application selection window, and select the created WebService application.
    4. Click > to add it to the right valid area.
    5. Click Confirm to add the target list for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) inspection.
    6. Click OK to successfully add the policy target.
  11. Click the Action tab to set the action to be executed when an event matches the policy.
  12. Click Save to add the newly created policy to the list.
